She began her career working in-house as both Compliance Officer and Financial Director for Irish investment firms.

Yvonne later co‑founded O’Connor Sheedy & Co., where she provided compliance consultancy, audit, and accountancy services to firms regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) and now serves as an Independent Director.
