Donall Gannon F.C.A.
Donall is the non-executive Chairman of Kestrel Capital Limited. He was an Inspector of Taxes in the Irish Revenue and subsequently spent over 30 years in large international professional advisory firms including the period 1993 to 2014 as a partner in KPMG. During that time he advised and assisted individuals, family businesses, corporate bodies and charities on various financial matters. In particular on their taxation affairs, generational aspects and wealth preservation. As well as being the principal in his own strategic business advisory firm, Donall holds a number of non-executive directorships within a group currently engaged in certain property related activities in the UK and Ireland. He has for over 20 years provided commentary on the Irish Budget and related fiscal matters to RTE (Ireland’s national public-service media organisation).
Head of Compliance and MLRO
Leigh joined Kestrel Capital in March 2020 having worked most recently as the Head of Compliance, Chief Risk Officer and MLRO for both Sanford C. Bernstein Ireland Limited and New England Asset Management Limited in Ireland. He spent 4 years in Dubai where he worked with Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Head of Compliance for the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to this, he had been Compliance Director with Merrill Lynch in Dublin. Leigh has a B.Comm from University College Dublin, an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Strathclyde and he is also a member of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland. He has been employed in the financial services industry since 1995.

John is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kestrel Capital. He has over 30 years experience in the financial services sector advising Individuals, Family Offices, Corporations, Charities and Pension Funds on all aspects of strategic investment planning and asset allocation.
John has held a number of senior roles in major international corporations during his career including Head of the Private Client division of the Investment Bank of Ireland and Director of the Personal Financial Services division of KPMG Ireland. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2000 to set up and develop the banks Irish Wealth Management business. As a Senior Vice President of Merrill Lynch he chaired the Advisory Council to Management in EMEA, this group was charged with guiding and setting front office strategy for the region. He was a member of the Executive Leadership Team of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Ireland and responsible for the successful transition in 2014 of the Wealth Management business to Julius Baer where he held the role of Managing Director and senior advisor of the Irish business.
John is a Director of Orbis International (Ireland), a charity devoted to transforming lives through access to quality eye health.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin, is a Qualified Financial Advisor(QFA)and a member of the CFA Society of Ireland.

Kenny Hope is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Kestrel Capital. In this role, he identifies key global market trends, offers strategic insights and solutions. Kenny helps identify suitable investments and portfolio strategies for investors across a broad spectrum of asset classes.
Kenny has worked in the wealth management business for over 15 years. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2000 and was part for the Global Wealth Management Group until 2014. He joined Julius Baer post the acquisition of Merrill Lynch’s International Wealth Management business.
Kenny graduated with a BA in Economics from University College Dublin (UCD) with First Class Honours and a Masters in Economic Science from UCD. He received scholarships from the college at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He is a member of the Institute of Bankers, holds the Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) diploma and is a member of the CFA Society of Ireland.
Partner - Executive Director
Danny joined Kestrel Capital in October 2017 as an Executive Director. Danny is responsible for Client Relationship Management and Portfolio Management. Danny delivers bespoke portfolio solutions to current and prospective clients. Danny has over 13 years experience in the Wealth Management business. Danny is a former Director of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management where he covered the UK and Irish market. Prior to his position at Barclays, Danny worked as a Portfolio Manager for Goodbody Stockbrokers (2005 -2008). Danny previously trained as a chartered accountant in the tax department of Andersen and KPMG.
Danny graduated with a BA in Accounting & Finance and holds a Masters of Business Studies in Accounting from Dublin City University (DCU). Danny is a member of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Irish Institute of Taxation, the Irish Institute of Bankers and is a Registered Representative of the Irish Stock Exchange.
Head of Operations
Camilla joined Kestrel Capital in August 2017 as Head of Operations. Camilla is primarily responsible for all daily operations of the firm, ensuring the firm is running as efficiently and compliantly as possible. Camilla has worked extensively in banking but predominantly within the Wealth Management division of the business. Camilla joined Merrill Lynch Bank of America in 2004 and worked in an Operational capacity until 2007 prior to joining the Global Wealth Management group. Camilla worked in London for Merrill Lynch Bank of America covering the Irish market, from 2011-2014 assisting with the implementation and deployment of investment strategies. In 2014, Camilla moved to The Netherlands and worked for an Impact Investment Management company, Triple Jump, spearheading their strategy and business development initiatives.
Camilla graduated with a BA in Pure Economics and holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Science from the University College Dublin (UCD), awarding a 2.1. Camilla was graded and ranked first in class in Econometrics and joint first in Applied Microeconomic analysis.
Yvonne O’Connor acts as a Consultant to Kestrel Capital Limited. Yvonne has worked on the Compliance side of Financial Services for over 20 years. She was Finance and Administration Director and Compliance Officer of Goodbody Stockbrokers for 8 years before setting up O’Connor Sheedy & Co to provide Compliance consultancy, Audit and Accountancy services to firms regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant, FCA.
